Grim Hand is a single-player roguelike card game for Android and iOS, built for portrait, one-handed play and fully playable offline.
Instead of drafting a collection of cards, your deck comes from the gear you carry. A sword fills your hand with heavy strikes, a bow lets you fight from range, a spear pierces ranks. Swapping weapons mid-run replaces your hand with it, so changing loadout changes how you play.
Enemies fight in formation across front and back rows. Leaders hold the line and back ranks punish you for ignoring them. You can snipe the back row, sweep the front, or cut down the leader so the rest lose their nerve and break.
The game follows Henry, a blacksmith who takes up a blade after the war leaves his forge cold and his children hungry. The story runs across four acts, each with its own setting, enemies and music: goblin tunnels, drowned caves, a crypt, and a dark forest. It is fully narrated and written as a tragedy rather than a power fantasy.
Runs are procedural with branching paths, campfires, a forge for upgrading cards, and curious events that can help or hurt. Death is permanent. Souls taken from fallen bosses carry over and reshape how later runs play. There are more than sixty enemies, each with its own behaviour, and an in-game bestiary that shows what each one does the first time you meet it.
A free demo covers the opening of the game. A single one-time purchase unlocks the rest. There is no account requirement and no internet connection needed to play.
