What is Greyhole?
Greyhole is an application that uses Samba to create a storage pool of all your available hard drives (whatever their size, however they're connected), and allows you to create redundant copies of the files you store, in order to prevent data loss when part of your hardware fails.

Said about Greyhole as an alternative
Similar functionality to DrivePool, but not as user-friendly. Previously used this with Amahi before switching over to Windows and DrivePool.

Linux: Packages (RPM) available for Fedora, and (DEB) for Ubuntu/Debian. Other distributions can install from (TGZ) archive.
