Dev Ronaldaug is no longer actively developing this software
There are no installation files available - you need to be a dev of sorts yourself to mess around with 'npm' etc to even get it to install on your computer. And doing so will pull a ton of programming junk along with it.
Program seems to be mistargetted - devs who can pull npms from github usually are skilled enough to code websites in html and css and what have you.
Ordinary people who really need drag-n-drop functionality aren't going to be able to even get this installed.
So I say this is poorly targetting / confused about it's user base.
Take-Away If you are NOT a dev or have any such knowledge or skills, or are prepared to invest time learning all that stuff instead of making a website, then STAY AWAY from this "free" product.
If you are a dev who already has knowledge of html, css, js etc then this is going to be too basic for you and will waste your time. STAY AWAY!
Gramateria is very useful. You can edit your template by using their "drag-n-drop" style for their website editor. Or, you can code your way through by using HTML of C++. To get the full experience, you will need to know how to code in C++ or HTML (you can use both types of code for use), otherwise, you can't edit text boxes, insert images, etc. This website isn't discontinued, just AlternativeTo has the wrong website. The link to the website is here: https://gramateria.github.io
Gramateria seems to be discontinued.
Actually, the domain has expired. But you can still access the source here .. https://github.com/ronaldaug/gramateria
I've learned materialize css a few weeks ago, now I use Gramateria. It's amazing. And I can add custom classes.
