    Zulip vs Gitter Comments

One of the main selling points of Gitter is that it had public chats that were indexable by search engines like Google and could show up on Google search results. This functionality is basically gone (for now. Element is working on bringing it back)

But Zulip's public channels still have this functionality. AFAIK as of early 2026 they are the only major alternative to have it.
