slippycheezedoesn't think EventGhost is an alternative to Girder
I just wanted to address the OLD comments below. We've completely revamped Girder. We've addressed the sluggishness (completely gone) and now are multi-platform. Releases are very frequent, typically at least one a month sometimes more than one a week. We address feature requests and bug reports as fast as we can and release the results back to our users quickly.
Support is always available through the forum or via email and even phone.

Almost no support and there haven't been updates in a long time, but it's really easy and intuitive to use even without any scripting knowledge (while it still allows scripting for more complex actions). It used to be quite heavy on the resources, but with newer hardware it's not even noticeable. Some of the advanced/plugin features (like voice commands) are quite cryptic and non-intuitive, also there's no support at all for those so it might be a challenge to understand how they work.
It cannot be simple if it is focused to advanced users and advanced features
This application is bloated, sluggish, and complicated. New users have a hard time trying to figure out how to accomplish simple tasks. Support is not that helpful.
