Comments and Reviews
You can add multiple images and process them into one text. So, ideal for converting a complete book! Very rare in free OCR software under Windows.
And you can edit the text in this program too, if you like, or copy the text into your favourite texteditor. It took me a while to find this gem of a program.
Works only for images, not PDF of any nature.
Convert your PDFs to images... duh.
It's not an alternative to Acrobat Pro; it lacks many features.
It would be nice to automatically open to OCR, like the program
Photo Scan does, but Gimage is truly free.. and the image view is easy to see unlike with Photo Scan which clutters the screen space with an ad. Does not do a great job with mid-tone/mid-contrast type images.. seems none of my other capture programs do either. I know there's other programs that work better for that, but I don't which they are.
Very simple, the best and uses tesseract engine fo OCR
Greenshot is a light-weight screenshot tool optimized for productivity with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) support.
Best OCR for windows.
