I use storage-pooling for years. Good software, but really bad support. Not recommended.

Whether you are choosing Transparent RAID™ or RAID over File System, FlexRAID products allow you to transform a common PC with an existing operating system into a protected Network Attached Storage (NAS) appliance or a Hybrid Storage System (HSS), which is accessed both locally and remotely. All FlexRAID products are non-intrusive in that you can uninstall the software at any time and regain complete control of your disks and data without ever needing to do a data migration.
