Best service for renting a flat I´ve ever used!
BE AWARE!!!!! A quite advanced ripping off scheme! It appears to be a good service at first, a decent imitation of Airbnb for longer stays, but it's actually quite dangerous with no user protection whatsoever. I recently endet up an about 10 month contract and was forced to pay 10000 czk (400 eur) because the door lock was broken after just a small doorslam for the wind. At firs the lanlady told me of course it's not your foult, the lock is not supposed to brake after a doorslam from the wind. But after few months of quitting the flat, an email came to me from Flatio blackmailing and bullying me that if I dont pay first 21400 (almost 900 EUR) than they lowered to 1000 CZK (400 EUR) they will start a legal procedure against me. They didn't even bother to ask for my opinion, or be neutral at the dispute. Their approach was quite unilateral towards the landlady's claim, which at first said that it's not my fault, than said it is. After rethinking the whole situation it became quite clear that it's a well organized scheme for ripping people off. I even heard similar stories happening to people i know in Prague.
Simple word: Fraud.
Flatio shows you rental agreement that's different than one you sign when you arrive. Often times key information is intentionally left out (e.g. apartment is below roof and gets hot, etc). Questionable reviews. As soon as you complain, support ignores you. "Help" with finding apartment means you get 50% off what you paid but you have to pay insane prices (1500+ eur in PRAGUE, not London) to get something that's available long-term on short notice (because you can't book non-flatio apartment to get discount). So if you paid 500 you'll get discount of 250 (for something that costs 1500 so 16%). You have to pay a lot for something that isn't your fault. No refund ever. Arrogance.
Czech "entrepreneurs" who are miles behind competition (which is more expensive but actually gets you basic protection). I will never ever book anything with them. So sad because it looked very promising.
