hands down best download sniffer, especially when paired with download managers.

What is FlashGot?

FlashGot is the free add-on for Firefox and Thunderbird to capture and download embedded links for all types of files (not just flash movies). -Capture all links from a page -Capture all links from all tabs -Make a selection on a web page and capture all links in that selection. -Filter the links using a mask (e.g. to download only certain types of files) -Pass on the links to your favorite download manager -Turns every supported download manager into a download manager for Firefox

You can check with your eyes the "cleanliness" of FlashGot source code downloading the XPI file and opening it with a ZIP utility (inside there's also a JAR you want to unarchive). It is all JavaScript/XUL with a single C++ file (FlashGot.cpp), which is the source of FlashGot.exe.
