Perfect screen capture tool for simple recordings for training or review - you can export to MP4, WMV, and AVI. What really makes this app shine though is that it is free for commercial use (note that you cannot use movies made in the evaluation of Flashback Pro for commercial purposes)...so, if you need to deploy to your company's users, you can. Just be aware that your users will need to register their copies by going to their site and inputting their email address to receive a unique code.
FlashBack Express has the capability of recording the entire screen, a region of your screen, or a window. Additionally, you can record your web camera as a smaller window while you record the rest of your session.
There is also a cursor highlighter and a visual indicator when you click your mouse in movie playback.
If you don't need annotation or any kind of frame editing or splicing (maybe you have another tool for this), I recommend this app without any hesitation.
The Pro version is pretty awesome too, so if you DO need those functions, I would check it out, it's a great product.
easy to use but record output to flashback express format, need flashback player to export to other format
This is not true - you can export to WMV, AVI and MP4 with FlashBack Express.

This is part of the Flashback Express installation.
The program installs two components:
So, when you finish recording, you open the .fbr file with the player and then export it as whatever format (.mp4, .avi, .wmv) you like.

yes and still a hassle, good video recording software should be directly export to desired format such as mp4 or flv

Also remember, this is a completely free software (even for commercial use), so you are getting quite a bit for no cost.
This practice of installing multiple components is not unheard of (and is quite common depending on the type of app you're using), but I understand if you find it to be burdensome to export files this way - I know that for the folks I've installed this for at my workplace, they have no issue with this. So it sounds to me like it's a personal preference. But to the point of your initial review, Flashback Express does indeed allow you to export to other video formats and you do not need to additionally download or install anything further.
