Comments and Reviews
Firefox Klar (renamed German release) comes with Mozilla statistics off by default, therefore more friendly.
Advertised itself as having ad blocking despite not having one built in. Very disappointing considering the fact I like the interface and overall feel of the browser.
A lightweight alternative that sacrifices addons. At times features feel misguided in the name of privacy - screenshots are disabled by default, http-only sites were wholly inaccessible in previous versions, only 4 slots for bookmarks, etc. It blocks ads but struggles with your basic pop-up. Use it like an incognito tab, a complement to something like Nightly or Duckduckgo. Still a lifesaver for older phones.
Lightweight, fast and privacy-friendly.
It has good privacy features and because of its minimalism, I find it really useful for finding information quickly.
I tried Firefox Focus for iPhone. When I navigate to a website blocked by Screen Time, the browser crashes. It also does not support tabbed web browsing.
Also, Firefox Focus does not block ads on the Startpage search engine. I tried enabling everything under Settings - Privacy - Tracking Protection.
I am using Firefox Focus as tracking protection on my iPhone (Settings -> Safari -> Content Blockers).
Worth 30 secs to realize no one should use it in the current state.
I use Firefox Beta on Android which has more settings & also add-ons, not all of them that i wish but at least some of them.
