While macOS includes built-in menu bar search capabilities that are serviceable out of the box, several limitations become apparent with regular use: no fuzzy searching support; searches include an app's "help book" which slows down results; no memory of recently selected menu items; and no control over excluding or including specific menu items from search results. Finbar was built to address these shortcomings and provide a more powerful, flexible menu bar search experience.
