Comments and Reviews
Apparently there is one more tool that does this and with user interface to facilitate (or not) (https://alternativeto.net/software/metadata-/about/, by Logipole). I found a very interesting and complete table: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_digital_image_metadata_editors](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_digital_image_metadata_editors)
Powerful and open-source.
It can't delete some metadata from .docx files, but on Windows that can be removed by right clicking the file propertiesdetailsremove properties and personal information.
I'm not sure it can change file attributes either, such as when the document was created. But there are alternatives to that as well such as in Easy Context Menu or Attribut Changer.
it is free and it is powerful

No it didn't. It found a code that can be utilized for malicious means. That is extremely common in applications.
"Assuming you are using Windows, if you rename exiftool(-k).exe to exiftool(-overwrite_original -all=).exe you can simply drag and drop your photos onto the EXE and it will automatically strip all of the metadata from the image(s)."
What's the benefit of that over (-all=)? Does it also delete important metadata for color profiles in some images?
Powerful. Supports all the file formats I can think of. With the new functionality of changing the date and time for renaming it is almost perfect
WOW! this is the only tool I found that lets you edit about ALL the meta data in numerous file types. Even ISO, Aperture, Focal Length, … which are not supported other tools, even quite expensive ones like Lightroom.
