Another website for finding trails is Trailsnet.com. It is a relative newcomer but quickly gaining traction. It offers numerous features not offered by most of the other biking, running, hiking & trail websites.
One example is Trailsnet's recognition that there are other types of bicycling besides just mountain biking and road biking. Trailsnet also recognizes trail biking which is quite different than mountain biking and practiced by many more people. It involves biking on rail trails, urban trails, prairie trails, park trails, canal trails, beach trails & more.
In addition, Trailsnet caters to all personal transportation vehicles (PTVs), not just bikes. So Trailsnet tells whether trails are suitable for recumbents, tandems, electric bikes, stand-up vehicles (Trikke, Eliptigo, etc.)
