A fast image and comic viewer for macOS, built for libraries that are
too large to keep on the internal drive.
Nothing is imported. Emaki reads the folder structure you already have,
with no copying into a managed library. Move or rename files in the
Finder and the ratings, tags and notes you added follow them — across
drives too, matched by the file's own contents rather than by path.
Built for size. Folder contents appear progressively as they load.
Large ZIP files show the first page without waiting for full
extraction, and adjacent pages are prefetched. When a network share
drops, the listing you were looking at stays on screen.
Reading is a spread view with a filmstrip and page slider. On top of
that: ratings, tags and notes, multi-condition search, smart folders,
duplicate and similar-image detection, and batch renaming. File
operations can be undone with Command-Z and are kept in a history.
Images: JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, PSD and others, plus some RAW formats
(viewing only, no development). Archives: ZIP, CBZ, 7z, RAR v4/v5 and
CBR. PDF and video also open.
The trial runs 30 days with every feature and no purchase step. The
licence is a one-time purchase, valid on any number of Macs used by
one person, and does not need a network connection to validate.
