As a Python programmer who works on Mac, Linux, and Windows this application is absolutely the best IDE you can get. Nice having a consistent environment on all platforms. It's lighter than Spe, has great plug-ins like the Project plug-in that works with Mercurial, plus with all the built in features like templates for boiler plate code you will not be disappointed. This application is under active development and I get updates very often. Best part, it's written in Python!
