Apps similar to Dropped include Gladys App, which has a free version. Other options are Scrawl Pouch and Workshelf. In total there are three apps like Dropped for iPad, Mac and iPhone.
Gladys keeps a shelf that holds things which you want to set aside, such as links, text snippets, map locations, contacts, images, photos, emails and messages (even if the application that the information came from is removed)

Scrawl Pouch is where you get your stuff together. Get it all together and put it in Scrawl Pouch. All your stuff. So it's together.
It allows you to drop anything from the system drag and drop gesture. It can serve as a quick place to hold items for drag and drop or it can be a long term container for items you want access to.
