DriveRecall is a Windows desktop utility that helps you find files stored across multiple external drives, including drives that are disconnected from your computer.
Catalog USB flash drives, external hard drives, and portable SSDs to create a locally stored, searchable index of filenames and folder paths.
Search across your saved catalogs to identify which drive contains a filename and where the file was originally located. DriveRecall shows whether each cataloged drive is connected or offline.
When a drive is connected, you can open matching files or their containing folders directly from search results. Catalogs can be manually updated when drive contents change.
DriveRecall reads source drives without modifying their files. Catalog information stays on your Windows PC, with no cloud account, subscription, or online service required.
DriveRecall does not search file contents, recover deleted files, or provide backup functionality. Files on disconnected drives must be reconnected before they can be opened.
Available for Windows 11 in the United States through the Microsoft Store for a one-time purchase of $14.99.
