Directors Plan for vMix information
What is Directors Plan for vMix?
Directors Plan adds what vMix itself does not have: a visual rundown/timeline.
The app connects live to a running vMix instance and pulls in its inputs with thumbnails. A show is planned as a visual rundown — rows with transitions, timings, overlays, replay segments and audio group levels. On show day, one person presses Play: the rundown runs fully automated, and the operator can take manual control at any moment and hand it back to automation just as easily. That makes it a good fit for volunteer teams (churches, schools, community TV) where the person planning the show and the person running it are not the same.
Beyond automation, Directors Plan exports printable call sheets with thumbnails for everyone on the crew, and generates complete Stream Deck and Bitfocus Companion configurations — including button thumbnails — directly from the plan.
The built-in Web Controller serves a live touch control surface to any tablet or phone on the production network: cues, replay rows, audio group faders and overlay toggles, generated straight from the open plan with no export step — connect by scanning a QR code.
Runs natively on macOS, Windows and Linux. $199 one-time purchase, 30-day full trial with all features, no subscription.
