What is Dictámelo?

Dictámelo is an MIT-licensed desktop dictation app built with Rust and Tauri

Hold a keyboard shortcut, speak, and release to insert text at the cursor in the app you are using

Download Whisper Tiny, Base, Small or Large v3, Parakeet v3 or Canary 180M Flash for local transcription without an account, API key or internet connection after the initial download

Cloud transcription is optional, using your own Groq, OpenAI, Mistral or Deepgram key, or the separate Dictámelo Cloud service

Other features include audio-file transcription, custom vocabulary, local history and optional AI text cleanup, which sends text to the cloud with consent

Local use is free, personal providers apply their own rates and limits, and hosted Free and Pro plans are optional

Available for Apple Silicon macOS and Windows x64/ARM64, with interfaces in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Italian
