What is DevDome Link Monitor?

DevDome Link Monitor checks internal and external URLs in saved, published WordPress content. It covers link targets and image sources. Widgets, menus and custom fields are outside its scan scope. The plugin is free on WordPress.org under GPLv2 or later, with no page or link limits.

Checks run on your server in small background batches. You can pause, resume or cancel a scan. A broken result requires two failures separated in time. Timeouts, DNS errors and blocked requests stay in separate verification categories. Redirect results include the destination and hop count.

From the dashboard, you can replace an exact URL across affected posts or remove its link while preserving the text. Edits require permission for every affected post and use WordPress revisions.

The 404 log records missing paths, hit counts and referrers. It separates likely bots using user-agent patterns. Logs support CSV export and automatic retention. Redirect suggestions use existing post and page slugs. Creating a redirect directly requires an active DevDome Redirect Manager installation. Link scans and 404 monitoring work without a DevDome account.
