I love it, but I'm not gonna give it a high rating because on Linux, it seems broken. But I'd really like to use it and see its potential.

What is Deta Surf?
Deta Surf is a digital tool that serves as a web browser, file manager, and AI assistant, integrating files and web resources into a single workflow. It's developed in Svelte, TypeScript, and Rust, and works with MacOS, Windows, and Linux. It stores data locally and is open source.
It provides features such as note-taking, multimedia libraries, and applet creation. Users can interact with YouTube videos or PDFs, create applets, and search the web. The multimedia library allows offline storage of various media forms using a local storage engine, SFFS (Surf Flat File System).
Smart note features allow users to access digital content, @-mention, and auto-generate from any tab, website, or resource. They can conduct web searches, link results back to their notes, generate interactive applications without coding using Surflets, and format their notes with code blocks and to-do lists.
Deta Surf's interface is designed with tabs, split view, and a sidebar for easy navigation, allowing users to view multiple resources side by side and quickly access notebooks and notes. Its notes and Surflets are powered by user-selected large language models, with options to add a cloud model or use local language models.

Another company that abandoned a decent project (deta space) to hop on the AI bandwagon.
Dude, actually, they didn't abandon it—they went broke, they went under, so everything was lost, and they only held onto what they were passionate about, which in this case is this browser.

I registered to download but have not received an email yet. This looks very appealing and useful!
Apparently this requires an application of giving an email and creating a quick stamp before receiving a download link. I haven't received a response email yet.
Have you gotten one yet?
Yes, I have.. I just installed :-)
