DedCut is a free, open-source creative application for Windows that brings five workspaces together: video editing, screen recording, live streaming, image editing and music production.
The video editor includes a multitrack timeline, effects, filters, transitions, automatic subtitles processed locally and export up to 4K. It also offers text-based editing, automatic short-form video creation and multicamera tools.
The recording workspace captures your screen, webcam, microphone and computer audio. Recordings can be sent directly to the video editor. The live streaming workspace supports YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Kick and TikTok, with simultaneous streaming, chat integration, alerts and vertical broadcasts.
For images, DedCut provides layers, masks, text, shapes, automatic background removal and support for layered PSD and TIFF files. The music workspace includes a step sequencer, piano roll, instruments, audio recording, effects, mixing and stem export.
DedCut includes a free local AI assistant for editing tasks and help. Optional connections to external AI services are also available; some require your own API key and may incur separate charges.
Core creative tools work offline. Optional AI models may require an initial download, while streaming and online services require an internet connection. Projects and media are stored locally.
DedCut requires no account and contains no advertising or subscription. It is available for Windows 10 and 11, supports nine interface languages and is released under the GPL-3.0 license. The application is currently in beta.
