What is Daywell?

Daywell is the family prep assistant. It's for busy parents keeping up with school, daycare and after-school activities, often for more than one kid. Connect Gmail or Microsoft once, read-only. Daywell looks at your recent email, usually the last couple weeks, and picks out the messages from school, daycare and kiddo activities. Not on Gmail or Microsoft? Forward school emails to your own Daywell address, one at a time or automatically. Gmail access is read-only. Daywell can't send, delete or change anything. No ads, and your data is never sold.

Daywell also reads the flyers and PDFs in school emails, attached or in the email itself, on iPhone, Android and the web. Snap a flyer, or share a screenshot, a PDF or a copied text message, and Daywell reads it. Paste a team or school calendar link once, and Daywell keeps those events up to date.

One list of what's coming up, which child it's for, and what to bring, sign or pay. Supply lists, menus and forms from school collect in Resources. A lunch menu in a school email shows up in Resources under your kid. Invite a partner and you both see the same list. Invite a helper, like a nanny or a grandparent, and they see the cards for the kids you pick.

Daywell looks only at who each email is from and its subject, and skips what Gmail files under Promotions, Social and Forums. It opens the ones it judges to be from school, daycare or activities. If it can't tell from the sender and subject, it opens that one too rather than risk missing it. Those emails pass through Anthropic's Claude to find the to-dos. Anthropic does not train on them, and Daywell does not keep the emails, except one you forward yourself that turns up nothing, for up to 7 days so Felix, Daywell's help cat, can read it again. Daywell keeps the to-dos it finds, with the sender, subject, date and a few sentences of the email, never your inbox. You can delete your account and everything Daywell holds, any time.
