What is DayOtter?
DayOtter is an open-source, AI-native scheduling platform — an open alternative to Calendly and Cal.com, with the AI included rather than paywalled.
It connects all your calendars (Google, Microsoft 365, Apple/CalDAV, and ICS feeds) and treats them as one, so a personal appointment automatically blocks a work slot and you never get double-booked. Share one booking link that respects every calendar you own.
On top of the core scheduling it adds booking pages, team round-robin and collective scheduling, routing forms, group polls, out-of-office and buffers, reminders (email, Slack, SMS, WhatsApp, push), and payments via Stripe.
Its built-in assistant, Otter, is confirm-first — it drafts changes to your calendar and waits for your approval, and you can point it at your own local model so nothing leaves your infrastructure. A plugin SDK lets you extend it further.
DayOtter is licensed AGPL-3.0 and is fully self-hostable — run the whole stack, including the AI, on your own servers with Docker.
