What is DAEMON Tools?
DAEMON Tools is a software application that enables mounting, creating, editing, burning, and converting disc images, Virtual Hard Disks (VHDs), and ZIP archives. It allows access to remote images via iSCSI, provides data protection with password security and TrueCrypt, and integrates with Windows, offering mobile features.
The Lite version of DAEMON Tools provides optical media emulation, supporting various disc image formats. It also allows the creation of images of CD/DVD/Blu-ray discs and can operate with a Free License without an internet connection.
DAEMON Tools Pro emulates not only CD/DVD drives but also HD DVD and Blu-ray drives. It supports mounting up to 32 virtual drives simultaneously and emulating up to 4 IDE virtual devices. DAEMON Tools Ultra combines all Pro features, adds the ability to create TrueCrypt images, encrypt discs and USB sticks, and create and use VHD and RAM disks. It also functions as an iSCSI Initiator.

I'm playing Might and Magic VII, disk 2 must be insert to make game playing the music. With Virtual CloneDrive and WinCDEmu I can run the game but without music, but DAEMON Tools can.
As a long-time user of Daemon Tools, I was terribly surprised to find the developers have loaded their recent installations with malware and partnered with known Malware distributors such as "mountspace" (Malwarebytes considers them to be a malicious website, as well) in order to bring the end user bloatware of the Conduit variety, such as Opencandy and Sweetpacks.
Daemon Tools is dead. Stay far away if you know what is good for your computer and your sanity.
Yes - it's sad that this useful app is now deliberately infected with malware. It could do things that other software could not and was old-established; but now DO NOT USE IT !
