What is CutSnap?
CutSnap is a web-based tool for adding captions and subtitles to video. It transcribes uploaded video using AI, lets you edit the resulting captions in a live editor, style them with custom fonts and colors, and export either a burned-in MP4 or a standalone SRT/VTT file.
The editor is WYSIWYG - the preview matches the exported frame, so styled captions do not shift or re-wrap on export.
It supports 50+ languages, including right-to-left scripts such as Arabic, Hebrew, Urdu and Persian, with correct letter joining and text direction.
The free tier covers videos up to 2 minutes at 720p/24fps, with 10 lifetime uploads, 5 renders per day, and a watermark on exports. Paid tiers start at $9.90 per month billed annually and remove the watermark, add 1080p and 4K output, word-level caption editing, SRT/VTT export, style profiles, and batch processing.
CutSnap runs entirely in the browser and requires no download or installation.
