What is Currents?

Currents is a cloud-based software designed for debugging and analyzing parallel CI tests. It's compatible with both Cypress icon Cypress and Playwright icon Playwright, serving as a substitute for the Cypress Cloud icon Cypress Cloud. It allows parallel execution of Cypress tests across multiple machines, reducing testing time through intelligent orchestration and load balancing. It also supports Playwright's native sharding and records results of distributed Playwright workers.

Currents detects and tracks unreliable tests, saving users debugging time. It integrates with other tools, providing information directly in a Github Pull Request or Gitlab Merge Request, and can prevent merges when tests fail. It also sends notifications to Slack or MS Teams channels and allows users to create automations using its HTTP Webhooks and REST API.

The software enhances debugging with automatic recording of test videos, screenshots, console output, and error stack traces. It provides test analytics, including run duration, failure rates, test flakiness, and detection of slow tests. Despite its comprehensive features, Currents requires no complex setup to run Cypress and Playwright tests.
