CoveSync information
What is CoveSync?
CoveSync is a private, local-network file sync tool that keeps folders in sync across your computers without involving any cloud service, account, or subscription. Everything happens over your home or office network - your files never leave it.
How it works CoveSync runs as a background service on each machine. Devices discover each other automatically using local multicast - no configuration, no IP addresses to enter. Changes are detected and synced in the background, continuously and silently.
Privacy by design There is no cloud relay, no login, no telemetry, and no activation server. The license system is fully offline - your machine verifies it locally with no network call. If the internet goes down, CoveSync keeps working.
Platform support Linux - free forever, installs as a systemd service Windows - one-time purchase, runs as a Windows Service with a system tray macOS - one-time purchase, runs as a LaunchAgent with a system tray Android (Coming Soon) - companion app for browsing and syncing shared folders from your phone (requires a PC on the same network)
Teams Team licenses cover 5, 10, or 25 seats under a single license file, displayed as "Licensed to Your Company (N seats)" across every installation.
CoveSync is built for people who want Dropbox-style convenience without giving a third party access to their files.
