What is CopyQ?
CopyQ is a software that saves system clipboard content in user-customized tabs for later use in any application. It works with Linux, Windows, and macOS 13+ operating systems, and can store a range of formats like text, HTML, images, and custom formats. Users can browse and filter clipboard history, sort, create, edit, remove, copy/paste, and drag'n'drop items within tabs. Additional features include adding notes and tags to items, customizable system-wide keyboard shortcuts, and pasting items using keyboard shortcuts, from the tray, or from the main window.
CopyQ has a customizable appearance, an advanced command-line interface, and scripting. It can be set to ignore clipboard copies from certain windows or containing specific text. It also features a simple Vim-like editor with keyboard shortcuts, among other features.

This clipboard manager has a hidden gem. Synchronize (Preferences -> Items). I use CopyQ on Mac, Windows and Linux systems so being able to sync clipboard items between them is very useful. This wonderful feature allows you to setup a folder that can be shared across systems (I use a folder in Dropbox). Now if I want to share a clipboard item between systems I just move it to the "shared" tab and it syncs automatically. Beautiful!!!

Highly customizable and relatively simple to configure for basic usage. Could use better or more current documentation and tutorials to get users started, but it is quite powerful for such a lightweight app.
Easy to use and configure. CopyQ does exactly what I need with tracking clipboard history for text and images, as well as building snippets for regular usage. I do like that it's a cross-platform app, so there's a familiar interface when using another OS.
I like it because it saves me a ton of copying and pasting. Brilliant APP!!
Nice that it works offline & stores images. When copying a line of text inline with icons/thumbnails, a sort of placeholder is put vs with Ditto where the link anchor text shows. The strong point of this CopyQ seems to be that you can organize clippings by tabs. ClipAngel is my standard favorite clipboard manager.
Best one of the bunch. Apps I've tried: Maccy, Flycut, Jumpcut, and many others from the App Store. Only CopyQ lets me select a number of clippings to paste all at once. The others can only paste one at a time. Personally, this is a needed feature. Also, CopyQ is just more robust all around, has the features others offer and then some (customization is S-tier), and doesn't feel like a quick side project by a dev. One major con: it's hard to make the dropdown menu appear in one click. You have to click the icon a few times before it comes out. What's up with that? This is one big minus that the others have over it by a mile; otherwise, an excellent app. -on macOS Big Sur
