I can't do a review, but I can said that ConsoleZ is and alternative to ConEmu and Cmder can work with both. ConsoleZ support split windows vertically and horizontally and amount other useful features.

Another decent option is clink icon clink which can either be run on demand inside a cmd window or auto-injected so it runs every time you dial up a cmd window (check the dox). From the Clink page linked above: Features
