A cooperative social network designed for organizing and building community. Communities uses a bi-directional friend model and supports long form posts and groups. We're working on events, tags, local feeds, custom feeds, messaging, and more.
Communities will be a nonprofit, multi-stakeholder cooperative. It will be owned by no one, governed by its workers and users collaboratively, and funded by users through voluntary contributions on a sliding scale.
