That's why CometBird cannot be recommended anymore. The developers have stopped keeping up with the Firefox source and haven't released a new version since Firefox 11 came out in March/April of 2012.
If you want to use an alternative Firefox fork, that is always up-to-date, try WaterFox (using your regular Firefox profile) or Pale Moon (creating a new and separate profile).
