The Colnect marketplace is a game changer designed to help collectors to buy and sell collectibles in the easiest way possible. Sales on Colnect marketplace relate directly to items on the centralized community-created wiki catalog. Colnect marketplace allows using catalog description of the item in the sale details. Only items included in the catalog can be sold and bought. This brings in the following advantages:
- Sellers can quickly open a sale by simply providing the item's condition and desired price. No need to spend a lot of time for each minute detail of every item being sold. This should allow EVERY Colnect members to easily become a seller. When dealing with more specialized or expensive items, we do allow sellers to add more details and pictures.
- Buyers can easily see all sales of a specific item they're interested in and choose the best one. Colnect members can manage their wish list (collectible that they want to add to their collections) on Colnect and see all active sales relating to their wish list.
- Sellers can easily find interested buyers when they see who marked the item on their wish list.
- We will be able to aggregate past sale prices to provide a realistic estimate of an item's worth.
