What is CodyFormat?

CodyFormat is a free and open-source desktop tool for formatting, syntax highlighting and exporting source code entirely offline.

It is designed for developers who need clean, readable code for documentation, Microsoft Word, reports, presentations, Telegram and other workflows without uploading source code to an online service.

CodyFormat supports automatic language detection, multiple programming and markup languages, configurable indentation, fonts, font sizes, line numbers, backgrounds and borders, as well as Dark and Light themes.

Output profiles make it easy to prepare code for different destinations such as Word documents, documentation and presentations.

Formatted code can be copied as plain text, copied with rich formatting for Microsoft Word, exported as an editable DOCX document or copied as a Telegram-compatible fenced code block.

CodyFormat runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.

All processing happens locally. No account, telemetry or cloud processing is required.
