FreeCodeCamp is a fantastic alternative to Codecademy's web development classes on HTML, CSS, and JQuery. It is completely free, utilizes a live sandbox format for application of learned concepts, and, most of all, features a massive support community.After taking the full course which needs about 3 months, you can understand so much code.Because I love the interactive live code functionality and it seems to have better exercises than Codecademy.

Khan Academy does not focus on coding as much as other alternatives.Khan academy is a bit more on the school kind of stuff, it's not yet in the programming & coding arena.Although there are sections about programming (which are not necessarily strong in quality), it is not the primary focus on this website. This is a fantastic site, however, to study math with.
