I used to use Citymapper as it's quite good for public transport versus Google Maps and was a smaller player in the mapping market. However it was acquired by the Israeli data company Via and it's gone downhill from there in terms of updates and accuracy.

I used to use Citymapper as it's quite good for public transport versus Google Maps and was a smaller player in the mapping market. However it was acquired by the Israeli data company Via and it's gone downhill from there in terms of updates and accuracy.
Limited coverage. They don't have St Petersburg Florida or Tampa. You can try it and it will quickly tell you if you are out of its coverage.
It was great but it has become really slow, almost unusable. Freezes the iPhone for a dozen seconds when calculating a path.
