   OpenConnect GUI is a painless alternative to Cisco AnyConnect that connects to my work VPN without effort. As a bonus, unlike the Cisco client, OpenConnect GUI does not enforce restrictive routes imposed by the VPN administrator, allowing you to retain access to your LAN while connected.

   It's more secure, open source, updated regularly, works painlessly, and doesn't crash. I've been happily using it Dec 2015 - Aug 2019 so far. Configuration is a little painstaking, but no more so than other linux command-line security tools.
