Chromeleon Alternatives
Chromeleon is described as 'Multi-vendor instrument control that supports Mass Spectrometer (MS) instrument control and data processing with all main front-end separation techniques (LC, GC, IC) in an enterprise environment' and is an app. There are seven alternatives to Chromeleon for Windows, Linux and Mac. The best alternative is OpenChrom, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like Chromeleon are Xcalibur, MassHunter, ChemStation and Clarity.
- OpenChrom is a data analysis tool for gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. Its functionality and algorithms can be extended using a flexible plugin approach. File formats from various vendors are supported.
- Xcalibur software provides method setup, data acquisition, data processing, and reporting. It provides complete security and tracking, and compliant reporting—it supports 21-CFR part 11—if used with XReport.
- Instrument control, data acquisition, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and reporting for Agilent time-of-flight (TOF), quadrupole time-of-flight (Q-TOF), ICP-MS, and triple quadrupole systems.
- Legacy control and data analysis software for Agilent GC/MSD.

superseded by MassHunter, but put here for reference as many labs still use it

- Mass spectrometry software for data acquisition of large and small molecules in both regulated and non-regulated environments. The software is designed to be used with any SCIEX QTRAP, triple quadrupole, or TripleTOF LC/MS/MS System. No screenshots yet
