What is ChristTrade?
ChristTrade is a platform for backtesting trading strategies.
You pick a market and a date, then replay the historical data bar by bar at any speed you want. Trades are placed as the chart moves and fill based on what the market actually did at that moment.
After a session you get a full breakdown of the results: win rate, profit factor, expectancy in R, Kelly fraction, payoff ratio, drawdown, etc. There is also Monte Carlo simulation with CAGR, Sharpe, Sortino, probability of ruin and percentile outcomes, plus performance split by weekday, by month, and an hourly heatmap.
Prop firm mode lets you set up a challenge as a series of phases, each with its own profit target and drawdown limits. It tracks the rules while you trade and tells you whether you passed or breached.
The journal stores your reasoning and checklists alongside each trade.
Charts run up to 8 panels across 37 layouts on the free tier, with drawing tools and settings per drawing. You can write custom indicators in the platform's own scripting language, and extend the chart with TypeScript, scripted or WebAssembly plugins. The charting engine is built in-house rather than licensed. An economic calendar and market news are included.
Data is crypto for now, with real candles down to one-second bars. Futures and forex are in development. The platform works with any asset class, the limit is data licensing.
The free tier includes the full product. No trial, no credit card, no ads. Pro costs $7 a month and adds custom indicators and strategies, seconds and custom timeframes, cloud sync across devices, and in the future, futures data.
ChristTrade is not a broker and does not place real trades.
