Chessmate Openings

Chessmate is an opening trainer for players who already play online and lose track of their plan after the first few moves. It includes more than 100 curated opening courses covering 1.e4, 1.d4, flank openings and the main defenses, each split into lines with short explanations of the key moves.

You study a line, then play the next move from the real board position instead of reading flashcard text. Review brings lines back on a spaced schedule so they stay in memory, and Challenge checks whether you can play a line without help. Classic opening traps have their own themed courses, and tactical puzzles from real games add middlegame practice.

Chessmate is available for iPhone and Android in English, Korean, Japanese, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Polish. The first line of every course is free to study; Premium unlocks deeper lines, Review and Challenge.
