CheckIfSiteDown

CheckIfSiteDown is a free website status checker. Type any web address and it tells you within seconds whether the site is up and running or down, so you know whether the problem is the website itself or something on your side.

Unlike basic checkers, it checks a site the way a real web browser does. That avoids false "down" results for big sites protected by services such as Cloudflare or Akamai, which often answer automated checks with 403 or 404 errors even though they work fine for people. Any reply from a server is treated as "up", and the result explains in plain English why the server answered the way it did. A site is only reported as down for real failures: the domain doesn't exist, the connection is refused or times out, the secure connection is broken, or the server returns a 5xx error. Failures are re-checked before they're shown.
