Chameleon Miner is a free, hidden cryptocurrency miner tailored for covert mining of Monero (XMR). The software enables mining on all Windows devices, with the mined cryptocurrency directly transferred to a chosen wallet. Initially, the mined Monero is stored at a third-party mining pool, moneroocean.stream, before being moved to your wallet. Chameleon Miner can mine using both CPU and GPU and can be hidden within another process, like Microsoft Edge, for stealth.
The software ensures optimal load balance by constantly monitoring system resources to prevent computer overload. It features an 'Enable stealth mode' option which, when activated, sets the miner to automatically load upon system startup. The miner operates covertly, remains unseen in the taskbar or tray, and resumes mining after a system restart without user intervention. This is achieved by modifying the 'info.ini' file (Enabled=yes in the [Hidden mode] section).
To halt the miner's startup operations, disable it from the 'info.ini' file by changing the setting to Enabled=no in the [Hidden mode] section and reload syscm.exe. Mining progress can be verified by checking the log at moneroocean.stream and inputting the wallet address(es) used for mining. After starting mining, a wait time of 5-7 minutes is necessary for pool statistics to update.
