What is Chainslake?
Chainslake is a self-hosted blockchain data warehouse that lets you run a full on-premise analytics stack for on-chain data, alternative to Dune Analytics that allows querying blockchain data with SQL locally. Built on open-source Big Data technologies (HDFS, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Apache Hive Metastore, Trino, Apache Airflow, Metabase) and fully containerized with Docker. Supports multi-chain EVM pipelines — fetch raw blockchain data from RPC nodes, transform with SQL, decode smart contract events via ABI, schedule with Airflow, and visualize with Metabase.
Beyond the analytics stack, Chainslake ships an AI Agent Team powered by opencode: a set of specialized agents (team-lead, business analyst, data architect, data engineer, tester, data analyst, build, plan) that automate the entire pipeline lifecycle — from gathering requirements and designing table schemas, to developing jobs, running UAT, deploying to production, updating DAGs, managing Airflow schedules, and building Metabase dashboards. Each agent has a scoped role and workspace permissions, coordinating through a guided workflow to take a new data problem from raw chain data to a ready dashboard automatically.
