Excellent interface, makes cloning a drive effortless. Although it is not instant, it has saved my data. Having tried a number of Windows & Linux clone apps, Carbon Copy Cloner is effortless, very simple to use, and remarkably effective. Clonezilla at the moment is failing to clone my drive, Clonezilla does not even have a clear method to exit Clonezilla & remove the usb key it is installed on! Seriously bad now compared to when a last used it a couple of years ago... Amazed that there is not a clear path to exit that includes safely removing the media!
One of the best cloning app for macOS.
Needs better filtering options to remove files/folders from backup/cloning jobs.
Cloning your hard drive can be super handy if you have a Hackintosh, since things almost always go wrong every time you try to update your software. Cloning your hard drive means that you always have a backup that you can boot to, just in case the newest OSX update makes the copy on your original hard drive explode. :D
Anyways, Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC) is free, and the ads aren't particularly intrusive-- you'll be minimizing the application most of the time anyways.
Carbon Copy Cloner is no longer free. It says, "The trial has expired, please purchase CCC."
I used it too clone my MacBook HDD to a new bigger one and it worked super!
