What is Camoufox?

Camoufox is a stealthy, open-source Firefox build designed for web scraping and robust fingerprint injection to evade anti-bot detection.

It aims to blend in with regular user traffic by modifying device information in the C++ implementation instead of injecting JavaScript.

Camoufox can spoof navigator properties, screen properties, WebGL and canvas capabilities, audio, video, webcams, geolocation, and battery API, among other things.

Camoufox also includes stealth patches to fix leaks that can be used to detect browser automation and can spoof the list of available fonts based on the chosen OS.

It is optimized for speed and performance by removing some Mozilla services and including fixes from other projects such as LibreWolf, Ghostery, and PeskyFox.

Camoufox can be run as a remote server, enabling its use from other languages using the Playwright API, and it provides a virtual headless mode that runs the browser in headful mode using a virtual display, making it harder to detect as an automated browser.
