I tried it on macOS Big Sur (11.5.2). Immediately after start I noticed that it is using significant energy (click on the battery in menu bar — see the “Using Significant Energy” list, it was there together with Chrome). I look for a light file manager that could stay open all the time.
Overall it looks nice.
The version I tried back then was v.0.3.0, released Jul 20, 2021.
Now there's a new version, v.0.3.1, released Dec 4, 2024, with notes: “After a very long break Camelot v0.3.1 is finally released! In this release Camelot got various minor features and a numerous bug fixes.
Following features were implemented in this version: • Improved tooltips • Added arrow up to access a parent directory • File icons support on all platforms (Windows icons by @iksi4prs ) • Favourite directories drag n drop • Showing keyboard shortcuts option is added by @iksi4prs
From tech side the following was done: • Update to .NET8 by @gigi81 • Bug fixes • Translations update”
I guess it's time to give it a try again.
