fantastic software.
It hasn't been developed in years but its features are bettera than most professional software
I was amazed by how quickly and easily I was able to crop a pdf of a diagram with briss. It automatically detected the area and all I had to do is click one button. The output remained a vector diagram and I was able to use it in a latex document immediately.
Superb application. Great detection algorithm, and well thought-out overlaying of similar pages so you can manually adjust after it's automatically divided the pdf up.
Caveat: it's written in Java, so takes ages to load, and the user interface is super-clunky. Doesn't have an executable/packaged app for anything other than Windows, and will fail/stall on pdfs bigger than 20mb unless you launch from the command line/terminal with increased memory parameters for Java. Be prepared to go back a decade in computing…
That said, I'm a fan - it didn't crash, produced an excellent readable pdf and I'll definitely use it again. Recommended.
