What is Brimly?

Brimly is a fuel, expense and maintenance tracker for iPhone. It computes real fuel consumption between full-tank fill-ups, logs every car expense and reminds you of services by date and mileage. Its AI assistant answers questions about your specific car using the mileage, fuel consumption and service history you have logged.

Main features:

  • Fuel log with consumption computed only between full tanks, in mpg, L/100 km or km/L; hybrids and EVs are tracked in kWh
  • On-device receipt scanner that turns a fuel receipt into an entry; receipt photos are not uploaded
  • OBD2 diagnostics with an ELM327 Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapter: read and clear trouble codes, view live sensor data
  • AI assistant that can check a repair shop's estimate line by line against your service log and explain fault codes for your car
  • Service reminders by date and mileage, documents with expiry dates, statistics and cost-of-ownership charts
  • Trip planner that estimates distance, fuel and cost from your real consumption
  • Car Spotter: identifies a car model from a photo
  • Import from Fuelio, Drivvo, Fuelly or any CSV; export to CSV, a PDF report or a single car-history file
  • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Live Activity and Siri support

No account or registration is required. Data stays on the device and syncs through the user's private iCloud. The app works offline; only the AI features need a connection. No ads.

The free tier covers fuel and expense tracking for up to two vehicles, reminders, statistics, widgets, sync, import, and five AI assistant questions per day. A one-time purchase (Brimly Forever) adds the receipt scanner, OBD2 diagnostics, unlimited vehicles and advanced statistics. A subscription (Brimly PRO, with a 7-day free trial) adds the full AI assistant, AI fault-code explanations, AI trip briefings and unlimited Car Spotter.

A free web version keeps a fuel and maintenance log in the browser without an account and exchanges data with the iPhone app through a file.

Available in English, Russian, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and Arabic. Requires iOS 18.1 or later.
