In addition to compression, de-duplication across all clients, and now optional encryption, it supports public-key encryption, with possibility of multiple key files, and multiple clients writing to the same repository concurrently. The back end storage format seems to be a bit more standard (SQLite DB, lzop compressed files, etc).
